Stockton Chamber Apprenticeship Program (SCAP-SE)
initiative was designed by the business community to allow for an
equitable solution to place CalWORKs clients into the San Joaquin County
workforce. SCAP-SE can assist San Joaquin County businesses fill part-time and full-time entry level positions. When hiring through SCAP-SE,
businesses can reduce human resource costs by interviewing candidates
pre-screened for employment readiness, reduce payroll and benefit costs
by evaluating and training SCAP-SE participants before
hiring and reduce turnover costs by hiring employees prepared for
employment through the Employment Preparation Program.
