California Victims of Crime Resource Center provides toll free information and referral service for victims of crime. It provides information about criminal justice and juvenile justice system, sources of financial compensation, victims rights to participate in sentencing and parole hearings, and about the possibility of civil suits. Referrals are made to resources in the victim’s area including victim witness, victim advocacy groups, and special programs dealing with sexual assault and domestic violence and survivors of child abuse.
